So after this mini photo session, I discovered how much I love touching my hair when posing for photos haha, I just don’t know what to do with my hands, so bear with me. Today I woke up, looked out the window, to see a perfect cold, damp and foggy morning and I wanted nothing more than to take photos out in the cold. I don’t know what it is but fog excites me (unless am driving).
The plan was to wear something fall-like but I found myself in an all black outfit.

My favorite item in this outfit is definitely my handbag/clutch from Francesca’s. I bought it to go to a wedding because I didn’t own a big enough clutch at the time, that could fit my phone, keys, wallet and a few lady essentials. I loved it at first sight because of the color and simplicity of it. It comes with a chain that you can hook up, so you can carry it as a cross body, as is the case here. If going out to dinner or in need of a clutch, you can detach the chain. It doesn’t have a zipper, but instead has a magnet that snaps it shut 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this post, and have a lovely weekend everybody 🙂

Ruche

fall11

I recently made a purchase from Ruche, a vintage clothing company that I discovered a few months back and I am definitely in love!!, I honestly hate online shopping unlike most people, because I get so impatient waiting on my packages and it’s annoying when the stuff doesn’t fit or the color is weird and I have to ship them back (sigh!)…..even though I go through tons of reviews about the clothing, it’s still rare for me to get stuff online (in terms of clothes/shoes). Anyhow, after browsing Ruche website for hours (everything was so cute!), I settled on this taupe midi skirt. It is super comfy, cute and awesome quality, I know I’ll wear this a lot 🙂

Noticed my brogues yet?, I definitely scored on this pair. Purchased through amazon, and first impression – super comfy, shoes made for walking that’a for sure 🙂

This is one of my favorite outfit I have to say, I am headed over for “linner” (meal between lunch and dinner) now lol, is it an actual word? idk..

I think it’s funny how this looks more like fall, but I promise flowers are blossoming everywhere around here and it is definitely spring, just not where I chose to take my outfit pics haha. I wore my black cardigan to complete the look and because it is chilly and drizzling a bit. Do you like my outfit?

Have a nice day friends.

REMIX: sister style

So my sister did a remix with this cute print top, styling the top with a skirt and pants. I love them both but I have to say the skirt wins it for me!, for starters, shopping in Kenyan markets almost guarantees unique finds like the dress top. I think the print is rather unique, have you seen/do you own a print like the that?
And the shoes are to die for! I always shy away from bright colored shoes, esp pink but now am convinced I could rock them. I think I would call this outfit bold and fierce , same words I would describe my sister lol.IMG_2349

Let’s not forget the clutch too, so cute! I could definitely see myself with that. All in all I love the remix style, the pants would be perfect for a day of shopping and running errands, while the skirt would be perfect for dinner, brunch or church, which is what my sister dressed it for.

I think this is a good example of being well dressed without wasting money on clothing items, I hear a lot of girls talking about how dressing up daily would cost them money, but dressing up doesn’t mean wearing designer clothes and new clothes everyday (unless of course if you can afford that – then read no more lol), learning to shop your closet, buy sales items and thrift shopping can result to amazing outfits.

Lastly, is that hair style a Kenyan trend now? Lupita nyong’o had a similar hair style for SAG awards and I saw a lot of girls saying it wasn’t age appropriate and that she looked like a child?
I think it’s very cute and appropriate for adults. What do you think guys?
“Stay inspired and stylish my friends” ✌️
