Style – 90s kid

Yesterday I got off work and couldn’t wait to change into something comfortable, but I couldn’t wear pajamas since I had to run errands first, so I slipped on my softest dress top and my Old Navy tights, then decided to wear my denim jacket and when I looked in the mirror, I felt like a 90s kid with my afro puff and oversized denim jacket haha. I adore old fashion trends; effortless and unique. While I like to look well put together in modern fashion looks, there’s something about older fashion trends that makes me a little happier.

Anyone excited to end this year?
I certainly am, it started a little rough but it is ending on a high note. I had some very good things happen to me in 2015 and I am very grateful. 2016, I can’t wait any longer, just get here already! , I have my first month planned out already..
In 2015:
– I read some great books, here are my favorites; The Goldfinch, the Secret history, The Fold, Paper towns and Orphan Train
– I hiked a lot; Olympics, Mt. Baker area, Mt. Rainier and Snoqualmie area
– I ran 100 miles in August
– I blogged consistently 🙂 Jan, Feb, March, April, May, June, July, August, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec
– I learnt a lot career-wise
– I got engaged! 🙂

Hoping for even better things in 2016, thank you lovely people for sticking with me

Wrap Around..

Today was a nice day, I dug out this wrap around blouse I bought years back, in Kenya. It matches the “spring theme” and is pretty unique, comfy and cute. I also wore my brogues to warm up my outfit with a shade of brown since my bag and leggings are black. Perfect outfit for brunch with the bf and doing some shopping. We brunched at Dirty Oscars Annex, one of our favorite breakfast places…you have to try it if you live around Tacoma/Seattle and have never been here, you won’t be disappointed.
My bag was a gift from my bf’s mom. It’s a coach bag that has been passed down from her mom and I felt so honored to have it 🙂 . Earrings are from Charlotte Rousse, I love their jewelry selection and I get tons of complements wearing these earrings.
I hope you guys are having an amazing friday so far, remember to let your hair down and have some fun this weekend 🙂

Romper daze

Hi guys,

A few days ago I got to wear my new romper out. I definitely can’t wait to wear it in the warm summer days. Remember my “oh for Pete’s sake” post, the top I wore in that post has the same pattern as my romper, ha!, I bought them together at f21, the fabric is different though….so not the same clothing (as some un-named people tend to think haha)

I wore my forever favorite earrings from Charlotte rousse and a red belt I got from a friend. f21 clothes are not my favorite to be honest because of the poor quality, but I have to give credit where it’s due and this romper is def worth it, inexpensive too.
I felt a little retro-ish in this outfit and I loved it!
What do you, lovely people think?

I will definitely be layering up this look in the future (cold days) and hopefully will get to post a re-mix style 😀
